Characterized by spacey walls of guitar, driving rhythms and haunting vocal hooks, Junius blurs the line between dark New Wave and brooding cinematic art rock. The pioneering Post-Wave group has toured steadily since the release of its 2004 debut Forcing Out The Silence; most recently in support of the new CD, Blood is Bright. Both records were produced by Will Benoit (of CONSTANTS) and mastered by Nick Zampiello (ISIS, CAVE IN, PELICAN). Initially formed and based in Boston, the band has since taken a nomadic approach, which has included 7 North American tours in the past 2 years (the band played over 200 shows in 2005 alone), and writing and recording sessions taking place in multiple states between tours, including Texas, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana. A recent tour highlight was Junius' 6-week co-headlining US tour with art-metal contemporaries Circle Takes The Square (Robotic Empire Rec.) in the Spring 2006. Plans for 2007 include full tours of North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom, as well as the release of Junius' first full-length later in the year.
